Event Details

This year we are offering three moving car events. Drag Racing, Open Lapping and Drifting. Our Drag event is a favourite and has always attracted a large number of racers who all manage to get in their fair share of track time. For the first time, we are offering Open Lapping and Drifting. Each of these events will have three levels of experience, BEGINNERS, INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED.

OPEN LAPPING: will have up to 12 or 13 cars on the track at a time per level. Each Level will be on the track for about 15 minutes per session. Cars will come off the track and the next Level of skill will take their turn. This will continue throughout the day. Drifting: will have limited cars on the track at any given time. The more advanced drivers can have up to two or three cars working the track at the same time.

N0-club will provide Track Marshals and EMT personnel for all track events.

DRIFTING & LAPPING : All drivers should start with a Drivers Mtg to go over the flags/rules etc. followed by a sighting lap of the configuration being used. All participants must wear a helmet while on track. (GBM has a limited number of helmets for rental – please call and reserve in advance). Convertibles can run with the top down if they have a built in roll bar or rollover system, otherwise they must run with the top up. Passengers are allowed but must also wear a helmet while on track.

OPERATIONS – To keep all patrons as safe as possible, there will be designated passing zones – NO PASSING THRU CORNERS or TWISTING SECTIONS OF THE RACETRACK, each layout has designated straightaways where passing will be permitted. Basically if you catch the vehicle in front of you stay behind that vehicle until you get to the designated passing zone/zones – that car will slow down somewhat and move over allowing you to pass. IF you are the vehicle that was caught – once you hit the passing zone – slowdown and move over to let the vehicle/vehicles that caught you pass, (basically passing you like they would on the highway), once they are past you can accelerate back to full speed.

If a car/driver is deemed to not be maintaining complete control of his vehicle at all times, places two or more wheels off the track surface at any time, or displays aggressive tendencies on track towards his/her fellow participants, a black flag will be given to that driver and his session will be over. If a driver receives two black flags at an event he/she may be asked to leave the event without recourse or refund.

All road course participants must wear a helmet (Drifting and Lapping) as well. Also no sandals, shorts or muscle shirts on either track. Drifting and road course passengers are allowed, same rules apply, at no extra cost.
